Green Bay Packers sign second-round draft pick cornerback Josh Jackson

The Green Bay Packers have officially made their second round pick a signed member of their team.

On Thursday, the Packers announced they signed cornerback Josh Jackson from Iowa to a contract. Terms were not initially disclosed.

"I want to thank them so much for believing in me," Jackson told the NFL Network audience the day he was drafted. "They're getting a baller, a playmaker."

Pro Football Focus agrees. They say Jackson had the best "passer rating allowed" among any cornerbacks in the 2018 draft. That means that quarterbacks had the worst rate of success against him in comparison to all other CB's. He also only allowed 22.9 percent completion rate.

"He played a lot of zone defense at Iowa...he basically started for one year...this is a guy who looks the part, and boy, last year, he certainly played the part," said WTMJ Packers Radio Network voice Wayne Larrivee.

"This is a great value pick if nothing else."

"Is he physical enough? Only 14 starts...he probably needs some development there," added WTMJ Packers draft expert Jeff Falconio, who still gave positive reviews to the pick.
