On a day of good free agency news for the Packers defense, the news is not so happy in terms of keeping a Packers offensive lineman around.
Mike Garafolo of NFL.com reports that JC Tretter, who started for the Packers in multiple games last year, would "officially be a Cleveland Brown" later on Thursday, finalizing a free agent contract.
The Packers still have a healthier Corey Linsley at center, who started for Green Bay over parts of the last three seasons. Linsley had ankle surgery and is in recovery.
Tretter started 10 games in his three years at Green Bay, playing 31 overall across numerous line positions.
